For excellent reproduction of photos on canvas, the canvas has also to be superior in quality, because it forms smooth base for the photograph to be printed in contrast there are cheap varieties of canvas, which or rough on surface responsible for spoiling the photograph print if seen very closely.

The commonly available canvas is usually made in China variety which lacks in its whiteness and smoothness, due to bad variety of cloth used and treatment with harsh chemicals spoiling the smoothness of the surface of canvas as well as robbing the whiteness property of the canvas which is essential for nice photo on canvas prints.

The excellent variety of canvas is made in Canada with superior variety of cloth having 40:60 cotton-polyester blending with thickness of 450gsm producing authentic canvas weave variety.

Further Canvas perfection is achieved by using environment friendly whitening agents to get very smooth texture canvas cloth ideal for photo on canvas features.

Moreover the special canvas is given protection treatment by using specific lamination technology offering UV protection to the art work printed by photo on canvas technology for excellent prints of the artwork. The special lamination process ensures that the lamination material used goes much deeper and the photo on canvas print remain protected for its true color properties just similar to the artwork is found in museums having very long durability lasting for generations.

Therefore when going for photo on canvas prints one must ensure the quality of the cloth in terms of its thickness, smoothness, whiteness and the quality of lamination it shall be having. If any of these excellent properties of photo on canvas are compromised the canvas photo print shall be of inferior quality and almost costing the same as a good quality of photo on canvas used for getting the prints of the unique artwork selected for printing.

The good quality of photos on canvas can be perfectly stretched on the frame by professionals having acquired the necessary skill and knowledge, which is usually lacking in small production unit workers. The perfect stretching of the photo on canvas means the corners have perfect folding and properly tucked. The specialists use custom cut frames made of Basswood of minimum 1.5” thickness and kiln dried before use so that it dies not get de-shaped on drying after photo on canvas is fixed on them.

New theories and opinions suggest that human beings, in their primitive days, were not advanced and creative enough to express their sensibility and expertise towards art. However, researches, explorations, and excavations have proved that human beings were very conversant with art and artistic expertise even during the Upper Paleolithic Period that dates back to 40,000 B.C. Most of the cave paintings found, belong to that period and essentially reveal a lot about the culture, beliefs, and social systems of the Paleolithic Age. It is also believed that cave paintings started even before that, however, reaching their apogee in late Magdalenian period.

One of the most common themes found in these cave paintings have been large wild animals, human hands, and figures, and geometric shapes, and signs. The types of animals engraved on these cave walls mostly include horse, bison, woolly rhinoceros, deer, and aurochs in their various actions and postures. Some of these animals have become extinct now, while some were already extinct at the time when they were discovered. The earliest forms of the most rudimentary cave paintings were drawn with fingers in soft clay on rocky surfaces. It is said that this technique was used following the animals’ use of their claws. Engraving followed soon, made by the use of sharp objects and stones on rocks and flat surfaces. Painting and adding color to those was the final step where natural colors were used to color the engraved paintings. The most commonly used colors for cave paintings are considered to be red, black, iron oxide, hematite, charcoal, and white. Also, yellow and brown are supposed to be the primary colors used by the Magdalenian artists.

According to researches, colors were mixed and made from mineral fragments and shells of barnacles were used to serve the purpose of containers. Animal and vegetable oils were used as binding the colorants while the calcium available in the cave water was used to mix them. It is also said that the cave painters employed brush tools, devices, and blowpipes to enhance the artistic features, and apply colors in different ways according to the type of the paintings.

A landscape refers to the diverse depiction of all the aspects and elements of nature comprising of hills, mountains, and oceans. It also reflects abstract elements such as the varying weather conditions of nature. Landscape paintings, representing the vast and picturesque natural elements have a significant place in American art. The early landscape paintings of America used a topographical presentation of cities, agricultural lands, and landmarks, which were a matter of interest for the local inhabitants and the people in Europe.

It was in 1820 that the American artists started illustrating the ‘unspoiled wilderness’ of the countryside in their landscape paintings. The artists used to believe that the study of the landscape before representing it in individual works, led to a spiritual enlightenment combined with a divine connection. According to these artists, understanding nature provided them with a deeper connection with its various aspects and the beauty associated with it. The concentration on the details of a snow-capped mountain, or a moss gathered rock not only revealed the wonders of nature, but also helped them in illustrating moral sentiments.

Landscape paintings can be made on different bases such as various types of paper, canvas, or cardboards using different types of medium for enhancing the effect and beauty of the paintings. Some of the most common of such mediums are watercolors, pastels, oil colors, charcoal, and pencil.

Several online art galleries sell landscape paintings online. These paintings are available in specific categories depicting various moods, themes, seasons, and natural elements. Each painting has a title representing the theme and the subject of the painting. The size and the author name are also displayed, along with the medium of color and the type of base used for the painting. Apart from the displayed one, other paintings by the same artist can also be viewed by clicking on the specific links. If the buyers find the price of the selected painting too high to meet their budget, they can even suggest a price preferred by them and submit online. The email addresses of the buyers are required in order to receive information from the galleries regarding the price quotes and other details.

Renaissance refers to the ’re-birth’ or ‘new beginning’ that gave rise to a new world order. The renaissance age was marked by the spirit of classical antiquity, acceptance of knowledge and education, especially mathematics, humanism, scientific progress, and the return of experimentalism. With the upsurge of knowledge and vision, new techniques bringing a radical change in the creation of all the art forms including poetry, fine arts, and architecture was noted. The emergence of the Italian Renaissance is often addressed as the ‘modern epoch’. The period represented the advancement of Europe from a long period of ignorance and uncertainty, thus reflecting its influence on all the social and cultural aspects including arts and painting.

One of the major characteristics of renaissance paintings is eclecticism reflecting the synthesis of a number of different trends. The Gothic characteristics of the earlier periods were eventually diluted, by a tendency of naturalistic representation of objects using oil as the medium of painting. Attracted by the fame and reputation of the Italian schools Spanish artists flocked to Italy. The entire form of paintings thus, went through an aesthetic transformation, contributing to the growth of the Renaissance spirit. Great masters of Arts such as Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Raphael were some of the famous Renaissance artists, who represented the typical spirit of the new age of reasoning and knowledge.

The essential characteristic that distinguishes renaissance paintings of Italy, Germany, and France is the primary focus on the topic or subject matter rather than the style. A departure from the mythological themes and the cult of nude painting relates typically to the Renaissance genre of painting. An ascetic mysticism, and sensuality derived from the pagan themes, and the aesthetic belief of art for art’s sake marked this class of paintings.

While the first half of the Renaissance paintings depicted religious themes, the second half produced portraits depicting figurative themes. Artists dealing with humanism emerged whose spirit of humanity was reflected in the representation of materials and tactile qualities. Artists such as Pantoja also created paintings with dark and light combinations. The last half of Renaissance painting produced artists such as Pablo de Cespedes who ushered in a new concept of painting.

The art of painting is one of the subtle skills that have imparted a sense of aesthetics and beauty to artistic creations. Watercolor paintings started when paper was first invented in China and the technology of papermaking spread all over the world. The first forms of watercolor painting was created on walls, using water based colors, or pigments on wet plaster. They are also known as Buon Fresco Painting, one of the most famous examples being the Sistine Chapel.

Eventually, the Renaissance painter Raphael Santi started using watercolors while painting cartoons used as tapestry designs. Since then watercolor painting has spread widely and been chosen by many famous artists, as their medium of painting. Watercolor painting has its own special features and use that makes the painting look beautiful on bases particularly suited for watercolor painting. Handmade paper can be an ideal base to work with watercolor that helps in accentuating, and thus enhancing the typical features of watercolor painting often standing out from most of the other mediums. The paints used in watercolor are made of dye or pigment that is ground finely and added with glycerin, or viscosity to help the colorant stick to the surface of the painting.

According to the traditional methods watercolors are applied with brushes, however, now, many other techniques are used for applying it. Watercolor painting techniques are not very easy to master, and if the required skills are acquired properly they can be lovely presentations of portraits, photo-realism, and figurative art. The type of painting demands a perfect blend of the colors, keeping in tact their quality and clarity at the same time, considered to be the most difficult area to gain expertise. Watercolors paintings are considered to be ideal studio component because of the odorless quality of the medium, ease in cleaning and quick drying nature.

Several online watercolor tutorials can be found to know and learn about the intricacies of watercolor painting. These online guides provide guidance from the basic steps of how to hold a brush while using watercolors, and move on to the different techniques used for applying the medium on different textures and surfaces.

A number of options are open to students, who wish to join art colleges. Apart from location and curriculum, students are required to choose the type of degree or certificate that they wish to receive at the end of their studies. There are four-year art colleges, two-year art colleges, community colleges and vocational or technical colleges.

A four-year art college or university generally offers a Bachelor Of Arts (BA) degree or Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree to undergraduates. The four-year art colleges in addition to the above degrees also offer Masters and Doctorate degrees. The Bachelor of Arts degree is for generalists and students who opt for this will have to take courses in all areas of liberal arts. Liberal arts includes English, foreign languages, history and philosophy. Although students who complete a BA degree can declare an art major, the degree they receive is structured in such a way that it gives them extensive knowledge of many academic areas. Students are also expected to take courses outside their major subjects, such as math or science.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts is a specialized degree that focuses on arts and where about two third of the course work is focused on art or design studies. There are colleges that offer courses entirely dedicated to art subjects. At art-focused colleges, students can immerse themselves pretty much exclusively in their pet art subjects as there is very little coursework offered outside arts.

Community colleges usually offer a two-year degree, which is an associate’s degree. In general, community colleges are more affordable than four-year art colleges. The credits that students earn in a two-year program can be transferred to a four-year college. It is important for students to plan carefully about their goals and ambitions before choosing an art college or program of study. It is advisable for students to choose a college that meets or exceeds their expectations. It is equally essential to choose a college and program that is accredited.

Art paintings depict various forms and styles of painting, adding variety and beauty to the art of painting. Art paintings may typically represent a particular art form such as abstract, folk, or fine arts belonging to various provinces, mediums, and cultures.

In order to satisfy their artistic skills, artists may choose between the different forms of art usually practiced by the several artists. If the artist desires to adopt the creation of abstract art, the themes and ideas can be about a natural surrounding or a realistic object. It might not be always easy to generate or conceptualize an idea out of nothing for the subject matter. Selecting an object and referring to the different aspects of it, may be an ideal way to start an abstract painting. This kind of painting involves attention to shapes and patterns instead of the object itself, simplifying the elements and alternating the color combinations. Focusing on one specific part rather than the object as a whole or its overall appearance is considered. Abstract art allows more scope for creativity and freedom, and can consist of geometric forms, bright colors, and surreal imagery. The subject matter may be derived from nature, still life, or people.

Folk art paintings represent the typical folk culture of the given province or country. The themes of folk art painting may include the specific social culture, or the provincial festivities, feasts, and other events. These paintings are also referred to as primitive art, naïve art, outsider art, or self-taught art.

Another type of art painting can be the original fine art painting, conceptualized by the artists themselves and given a shape and form. However, these images are obviously inspired by the various natural, social, or political conditions, but they are not copied or referred to at the time of composition. Fine arts, however, is considered to be restricted by certain artistic standards, and thus known as the most difficult form of art paintings.

Art paintings can be created using different mediums of coloring agents such as oil, pastel, or watercolors and on various bases such as canvas or art paper. Several online art galleries exhibit their art collections and even sell paintings online.

There are many people who believe it is an innate gift to be naturally creative or artistic. However, as is the case with any talent, creativity needs to be honed and optimized. Without proper training, creative people may never achieve the potential they were born with and good art schools help them hone in their talents.

Art colleges have programs in culinary arts, photography, languages, advertising, interior designing and many other programs related to art. These colleges inculcate learning through creativity and help begin creative careers. Many Art colleges award masters, bachelors and associate degrees, as also non-degree programs. In recent times, some art colleges even have specialized programs for learning game design indicating that the art of designing game graphics has become serious business.

A successful future in any industry depends to a very large extent on choosing the right college. It is of course possible to be successful in the field of art without any formal training. However, as many companies look for professionals who can stick to industry standards, those with art degrees get a competitive edge. In art colleges, students get to interact with visiting faculty members whom are typically professionals working in the industry.

Art schools also help in developing the techniques of art in students. The inborn talent of students is improved by exposure to proven concepts and ideas they learn at art colleges. Art colleges also help students develop a love and appreciation for different forms of art.

Different art colleges have different strengths, and therefore, it is essential for aspiring artists to find a college that plays to their strengths and has a specialization in the field of their choice. Some colleges have a style of teaching that maximizes skills while some other expose students to techniques that make them twice a better artist than they already are.

Choosing an art college is an important career decision that students are required to make.

Students can choose to find out if the colleges they are applying to take admission tests as the sole factor for qualifying. If that is the case, it is advisable for students to plan on taking these tests in their junior year of high school. By doing this, the scores they obtain will help them plan their senior year and also give them an added advantage during admissions. It will also give them time to make a second attempt at the tests if their score in the first year’s tests, does not meet the requirements of the art colleges.

The best art colleges usually require prospective students to submit a portfolio of their work during the admission procedure. Art colleges typically lay greater stress on a student’s artwork than on standardized tests. When the scores in an admission test are below the qualification grade, students can consider applying to those colleges that place more value on the quality of a student’s portfolio.

The best art colleges are expected to have the best facilities and resources. Equipment, especially computers, is required to be up-to-date and a studio space should be readily available. The faculty-to-student ratio in the best art colleges is normally as low as possible, so that students can receive individual attention and the faculty members are mostly leaders in their own fields. The best art schools generally have a good reputation among both students and the companies that recruit students from the campus.

The best art colleges are usually accredited and students are advised to ensure that the college and program they’re considering are accredited. It is also advisable for students to enquire about the organization that has conducted the accrediting procedure. The higher the standards of the accrediting institution, the better the program is likely to be.

It is essential for students interested in art courses to identify the best art colleges that offer programs of specific interest to them. Admission standards, facilities, resources and accreditation are all factors to consider while choosing an art college for higher studies.
